Privacy Policy
Last updated 3 September 2026.
Push-Up Tabata collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. No data is sent to us or to anyone else, because the app has no server to send it to.
The camera
Two features use the camera, and both are optional and off until you turn them on:
- The rep counter looks at frames from the front camera to detect your upper body rising and falling, using Apple's Vision framework. Frames are analysed in memory on your device and discarded immediately. Nothing is written to disk, recorded or transmitted.
- The victory photo takes a picture when you press the shutter. It stays in the app until you share it. If you choose to save it, it goes to your photo library; if you choose to share it, it goes wherever you send it. We never see it.
The app asks for camera access at the moment you enable one of these features, and asks for photo-library access only when you choose to save a photo.
What is stored on your device
Your workout history, your name and your settings are stored on your device only. They are included in your device backups, as any app's data is, and are deleted when you delete the app. None of it is readable by us.
Music
The app ships with its own music, which requires no permission and no account. If you turn on Apple Music, playback is handled by Apple's MusicKit framework using your own Apple Music subscription. That interaction is between you and Apple, and is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We receive nothing from it.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Purchases
The app is a one-time purchase through the App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never receive your payment details.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date above.
